When I think about what Rotary means to me personally, I think about the opportunity we have to make a real difference in someone’s life. That's why our Rotary Foundation holds such a special place in my heart.

The greatest blessing of being a Rotarian is knowing that, through our generosity, we can bring hope to someone we may never meet. A child receiving clean water, a family gaining access to healthcare, or a young person receiving an education — these are not just projects or statistics. These are real people whose lives are changed because Rotarians like you and me care enough to give.

As your District 5830 Foundation Chair, I want you to know how deeply I appreciate every member who supports our Foundation. Your gifts matter, and so does your commitment. But I also want to make an appeal to those who have not yet made giving to our Foundation a regular part of their Rotary.

There is a difference between simply belonging to a Rotary club and truly being a Rotarian. Membership gives us fellowship, friendships, and opportunities to serve. But when we personally support our Rotary Foundation, we take that commitment a giant leap forward. We instantly become invested in something much greater than ourselves. That's when we move beyond simply being a member of a club and embrace what it truly means to be a Rotarian. We put our hearts, our resources, and our belief in Service Above Self into action.

Please consider a gift from your heart and sign up today for Rotary Direct.

Whether it’s $10 a month through Rotary Direct or a larger annual gift, what matters most is that every Rotarian participates. Just imagine what we could accomplish if every member in our district made that commitment.

Rotary has given so much to each of us — wonderful friendships, meaningful experiences, and a sense of purpose. Supporting our Foundation is one way we can give something back and ensure that the good we do continue long after we are gone.

Please join me in making our Rotary Foundation a personal priority. Not because we are expected to give, but because we believe in what Rotary stands for and in the lives we can change together.

From my heart, thank you for being a Rotarian, for your service, and for helping make our world a better place.

Our Foundation. Our Responsibility. Our Legacy.

With sincere gratitude,

District 5830 Foundation Chair
