I have a great suggestion, ATTEND THE ROTARY INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION IN TAIPEI, TAIWAN!!!!!!!Registration is now open.
Just go to the Rotary International Web Site, click on the “Members” link and toward the bottom you will see a link for RI Convention. Click on that and then Taipei. Once you register, start the process of securing your hotel. Now don’t panic when you see a rate of $9,000. That is Taiwanese dollars. The exchange rate as I type this is $1.00 Taiwanese =$0.03 USD. So do the math.
Once you have secured your hotel room, by all means check out the events the HOC (host organizing committee) has planned for the convention. There is a bike tour, a 5K walk to End Polio, a night at the opera (looks extremely interesting), a concert by the Taipei Symphony Orchestra and one of my most favorite events, Home Hosting-where you get an opportunity to meets Rotarians from all over the world.
So get registered and be prepared to have the time of your life. I guarantee it!!!!
