The District 5830 matching Points Campaign, which ran from May1st through June 15th, was a smashing success! DG Jim Finstrom and District Foundation Chair Ted Huffhines are extremely proud and grateful for the hundreds of very generous Rotarians in the district who took advantage of the MPC and gave to The Rotary Foundation.

We will end up at approximately $125 per capita for annual fund giving ($180,000+) and have given over $90,000 to Polio Plus. These funds will help fund projects for clean water, education, peace, health, community development, and environmental improvements. Polio funds will lead to the eradication of this dreaded disease.

We have at least 17 clubs who will exceed the $100 p/c, and we have 15 clubs who have given $1,000 or more to Polio Plus. The MPC also produced 33 first time donors to TRF from our district. The numbers are impressive, but the lives that are changed, the change that is formulated , and the peace that will be produced will be even more powerful! A big, “Thank You,” to PDG Tom Dewitt for handling the logistics of the MPC. It would not have happened without his dedication and hard work. I also am appreciative of the club presidents and foundation chairs who challenged their members to give. Great job, D5830!!
