On January 15, in commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, members of the Texarkana International Rotary Club volunteered at Harvest Regional Food Bank. The holiday is not only for celebration and remembrance of the life and legacy of Dr. King, but a day of service. The club has volunteered for the past three years boxing groceries for needy families. Harvest Texarkana Regional Food Bank has helped fed families in Northeast Texas and Southwest Arkansas for over 25 years.
Marion Houff is the club’s president. The club meets every Monday at 6:00 p.m in the Summerhill Road Winery, Texarkana, Texas.
