It’s been said many times that Rotarians are leaders, and I believe it. As leaders, let’s recognize August as Rotary Membership month and lead others to Rotary so they can dream more, learn more, do more and become more!
District 5830 ended the year maintaining it’s membership strength. We were only 4 members down from where we started on July 1, 2021. Thirteen of our clubs showed net POSITIVE GROWTH!! Seven clubs stayed even with previous member numbers. And even with 20 clubs losing a few here and there, the overall district was only down 4. All in all, 5830 had a solid showing among our peer districts.
But is that the best we can be? No, not even close. Some action steps:
- Club leaders set your membership goals in Rotary Club Central.
- Club leaders, boards and membership chairs create a PLAN to increase membership.
- Get inspired and enthusiastic to be more and do more as a club. Enthusiasm is contagious!
- Get input from members.
- Make it fun!

Make your plans now to hold club campaigns or contests or events to ATTRACT co-workers, community leaders, business leaders, family, friends, and service-minded people to YOUR CLUB!!
