Will you make a difference??

The Rotary Theme for March is Water, Sanitation and Hygiene.

Thinking about that Theme for a moment, if you are going to help as Rotarian making a difference in the lives of others, why would you not want to use the Rotary Foundation?
LoneStar PETS is now complete; crowds were present, and attendance was up more than 10% from past years.  By anyone’s definition that’s successful.  So why were not all 5830 President Elects at LoneStar PETS?

The speakers, presenters, and facilitators at the Friday District Meeting were prepared, energetic and informative. It sure seemed that everyone received their money’s worth and knows now how to guide their club during their year of being Club President.

The facilitated sessions on Saturday also received great reviews. Sunday we requalified Clubs for spending The Rotary Foundation funds through Club Project Grants.  Different from past years, most members in attendance participated in an active role.

The point here is if you are going to accept the position, please make the time for the training called for by the position.  That’s true of any job you take.  It’s especially true of a prestigious organization manned by volunteers spending their own time and money without reimbursement.

As one member out it: “You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know”. That goes for APF and other acronyms.

If you attended, you know.  If you are stumped, try this link: https://www.rotarynairobieast.org/popular-rotary-acronyms-and-abbreviations-you-should-know/ .
The Rotary Foundation is waiting to assist you in doing good in the world.
