It is that time of year when we look for nominations for emerging leaders in our District to be nominated to serve as District Governor. The new DG Designee will serve as DG for the 2023-2024 Rotary year.
The interviews for the DG Designee will be held on August 15, 2020 in Longview. The deadline to submit an application is August 2, 2020.
As each of you well know, we must have talented and effective leaders for our District to make sure we continue to achieve our goals and grow in our service to the world. I am asking each of you to take a serious look around your club, your Area clubs, and the entire district for potential candidates to nominate for this very worthy office. Please take some time and consider who you might nominate. Once you have identified those individuals, please contact them, and gauge their interest in serving. The nomination form and a list of Governor’s responsibilities are provided below. A person must have served as a club president, be in good standing with their local club, and have been a Rotarian for seven years by their DG year.
