On Saturday August 5, the Hawkins, Holly Lake Rotary Club hosted its annual Back – to – School Round Up at the recreation/education center of the Hawkins First Baptist Church. The Club bought and distributed school supplies to 150 Hawkins elementary students with their parents.
Partners and donors to this project included Ozarka, Fabco, City National Bank, Brookshires Grocery, Southside Bank, and First Baptist Church of Hawkins.  Also participating in the event were the Boy Scouts, and volunteers from the First Baptist church of Hawkins.  At the event, we held a fun walk for the children and a bicycle raffle.  Prizes were donated by Credential Research, Raising Canes, Caldwell Zoo, Discovery Science Place, and Trinity Lutheran Church, TRW Trucking, Hawkins Farm and Auto, and from Lindsey Wilson with Century 21. Six bicycles were presented to 2 winners each in categories K-1, 2-3, and 4-5.

Each of the members of our club contributed to the success of this program.   We want to especially thank our club secretary, Jan Saxon, for organizing and managing the many aspects that lead to the successful completion of this project.
