During the 2022 D-5830 Foundation Banquet, IPDG Jack Welge presents PDG Ted Huffhines the District Governor of the Year Award.District 5830 is blessed to have extraordinary caring and supportive leadership from the club level through the Past District Governors and Governors Line.
We are also unique in that virtually all our PDGs remain involved in our District after their Governor’s year guiding and working in everything from membership to finances to Rotary Foundation work.
We work as a team and on that team we have a number of MVPs who assist in maintaining the quality of our District’s performance and service, delivering win after win after win adhering to Rotary’s ideals.
But every team needs a coach and the coach in our TRF area for quite a few years been Ted Huffhines.
Ted is one of those Rotarians who quietly goes about helping, supporting, guiding, and encouraging resulting in stellar performance.
For his continuing devotion to Rotary and the principles of Rotary and for serving as “coach” of the 2020-21 Team, and as our District’s TRF Chair for many past years, Ted Huffhines is our 2020-2021 Past District Governor of the Year.
