DGND Mike Groom 

 

Mike was born in Austin, Texas in 1956.  He was raised in Houston and Spring, Texas for most of his life and graduated from UT Austin in Accounting.  After working as a CPA for several years he realized what he didn't know about tax would fill volumes and decided to go to law school with an emphasis in tax law. 

 

He passed in the bar in 1988 and has worked in Houston and East Texas since that time.  Mike knew from a very early age that he wanted to be an accountant and later on an attorney and still loves the work.  Mike's favorite pastimes are his wife, his children, his Rotary, salt water fishing, hunting, and his new grandson, Charlie Mike.
