Congratulations to Diane Kavanaugh who has been selected as District Governor Nominee Designate.  She has been selected to serve during the 2026-2027 Rotary Year.
Diane Kavanaugh joined South Tyler Rotary Club in 2014 and served as Club President in 2020-2021.  Diane also served on many of the South Tyler Rotary Club committees such as RYLA, Tyler Christmas Parade, Club Website Editor, Club Bulletin Editor, Vice President, Spaghetti Supper Chair, and Foundation Treasurer. She was recognized as South Tyler Rotarian of the Year in 2018-19.
 
Diane was appointed as Assistant Governor in 2021-22 (Mike Groom), 2022-2023 (Carolyn Franks) and 2023-2024 (Karen Maines). She is a Member of the Paul Harris Society, EREY and Sustaining Member, Benefactor 2020-21 and Major Donor Level 1 2022-2023.
 
Diane works in the nonprofit field as the Finance and Administration Director at PATH People Attempting to Help in Tyler. She has over 30 years leadership development with nonprofit and civic organizations including PATH, Rotary, Discovery Science Place, Jaycees, HOBY and the American Association of University Women Tyler Branch. She is a graduate of Leadership Tyler Class 28 and an active alumni member.

Diane and her husband, Jon, have been married for 12 years. They live in Tyler with their three cats, Orion, Leo and Rigel. Diane and Jon are outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy hiking and camping. They have a goal of visiting all 89 Texas State Parks.
