November: A Month of Gratitude and Giving

November is a special month in Rotary as we celebrate Rotary Foundation Month and reflect on the incredible difference we make when we come together in service.

On November 7, we will gather for our annual District 5830 Foundation Dinner, Celebrating Lasting Impact. It will be an opportunity to recognize the generosity of our members, celebrate the accomplishments of our clubs, and honor the many ways The Rotary Foundation helps us turn our commitment to service into meaningful change.
I look forward to celebrating with you! Thank you to the Marshall Rotary Club and members Stacia Runnels, Glenn Bickerdike, Ted Huffhines and Daren Horton for your time and hard work to plan and host our dinner!

We also have some exciting news to share! Our district has just announced Operation Full Plate: United to Fight Hunger, a friendly competition between Zones 30 and 31
with a very meaningful purpose. I encourage you to read more about this initiative in this month's newsletter and consider how your club can get involved. Together, we can make a real difference in the fight against hunger in our communities.

As we enter this season of Thanksgiving, I find myself especially grateful. Grateful for our clubs and the work they do in communities across our District. Grateful for our members who give their time, talents, and resources so generously. And most of all, grateful for the spirit of service that brings us together and reminds us why we are Rotarians.

Every service project, every act of kindness, every dollar given to the Foundation, and every new relationship built represents an opportunity to create lasting impact. Sometimes we see the results immediately; other times, we may never know just how Thank you for all you do, for the difference you make, and for the privilege of serving alongside you. I am proud of what District 5830 is accomplishing, and even more excited about what we will accomplish together.

Wishing you and your families a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Yours in Rotary,
Diane Kavanaugh
