“As no individual who shirks his community service can lay justifiable claim to being a well-rounded citizen, so no Rotary club of today which is indifferent to the welfare of the city in which it is established measures up to the stature of full-grown Rotary clubs.” A quote from Paul Harris in the November 1915 Rotarian. October is Economic and Community Development. Wouldn’t Paul Harris be amazed at the scope of Rotary’s involvement now focused on this area?

As I travel to my club visits, I am delighted by the club activities focused not only locally but in communities all over the world. Even the smallest clubs are making a big difference. Thank you!
October 7th and 8th  is also our 21-22 District Conference in Idabel, OK. It will be a fun and informative event at the Museum of the Red River. The museum is worth the visit. October 24 is World Polio Day. Now with the outbreaks in New York, we need to work even harder to eradicate this terrible disease. Please consider having an event to draw your community’s awareness and also consider your $100 gift to the PolioPlus Society to help rid the world of polio!

Imagine a polio free world and imagine the impact your gifts to The Rotary Foundation will have across the globe, in your community and in yourself!
