Just a few of the Paris Club Members with DGE Ted HuffhinesParis (TX) was the scene of The District Training Assembly on April 22.  The First United Methodist Church was the perfect place for this type of meeting.  (and yes, we began on time and adjourned ahead of time – 1:45 p.m.

(Just a few of the Paris Club members with DGE Ted Huffhines.)
Training was provided for our Presidents, Secretary and Treasurers, Membership Chairs, Foundations Chairs and Public Image Chairs.  There were presentations on fundraising and new ways for attracting younger members to your club.  District Grant Certification was offered for any who needed to be trained (each club is required to have the president and foundation chair certified so that the club can apply for district grant funds; this is your money!  Don’t leave it on the table!).  After a festive TexMex lunch, door prizes were given to Kathy Whitfield of Jefferson, Nancy Nesselhauf from Jacksonville, Paul Hines from Clarksville, Pamela Stewart, Zone Assistant Rotary Public Image Coordinator, from Ruston, LA, Shirley Pinnix from Texarkana, and Connie Stauter from Paris TX. Eight clubs who had three or more members were entered into the drawing.  The grand prize winner was Dietrich Johnson from Longview.

After more fellowship, all left with happy hearts and invaluable information.
